Crossroads Cowboy Poetry Competition - April 2026

Lori won the champion buckles in both the Top Hand and the Shootout at the OK Corral categories, reserve champion in the Dawn Anita Memorial category, and 3rd place trophy in the chosen topic competition.

Also at the Crossroads Cowboy Poetry gather, Lori received this special memorial award given to one poet a year who “Honors the Old West and the cowboy way of life.”

Montana Cowgirl Showdown - October 2025

Lori was awarded 1st place in the performed poetry category of the 2025 Montana Cowgirl Showdown in Red Lodge, MT. During the competition she performed her poems “Rank Angry Mama”, “Cowgirl Up”, and “Traded.” During the showcase she performed “Ranch Mama.”
